On May 9, McCoy Federal Credit Union hosted a group from Sicredi Cooperative of Credit, Savings and Investment – located in Brazil – to share about the credit union difference. The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) connected the two financial institutions after determining McCoy’s level of expertise regarding the topics they were looking to cover was a fit.
Representatives from Sicredi RS were in Orlando for technical visits with a variety of entities. Their afternoon with McCoy consisted of learning about the credit union mission as well as management strategies, operations, in-person and digital member interactions, and project flow.
“At McCoy Federal Credit Union, we embrace the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People.’ That means assisting our members with superior service, supporting those in need within the community we serve, and providing guidance to our colleagues within the credit union and financial cooperative industry when asked,” said Alvin Cowans, president/CEO for McCoy Federal Credit Union. “It was our pleasure to host team members from Sicredi Cooperative of Credit, Savings and Investment and answer their questions about how we care for our members here in Central Florida.”
