Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida, Christmas Outreach Project
In November, team members from each of McCoy’s branches and multiple departments decorated Christmas cards with messages of holiday cheer. On Dec. 2, the Marketing Team delivered those cards and gift baskets, to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida. Each gift basket held wish list items for each RMHCCF house in the area (AdventHealth, Orlando Health and Nemours). This included household items, games and activities, and gift cards. RMHCCF offers a comfortable and inviting place to stay for families with children receiving treatment at one of the hospitals.
City of Lake Mary, Employee Appreciation Day
On Dec. 7, McCoy’s Marketing Team attended a vendor fair for City of Lake Mary employees. The event was dedicated to showing how much the city values its employees and celebrating their hard work. Marketing was able to present information about McCoy’s products and services to the employees at this time. The fair was followed by a luncheon where the team networked with the employees and other vendors. The City of Lake Mary also had a raffle at the event, where McCoy provided a cozy holiday gift basket with a coffee mug, hot cocoa, and a gift card.
Kissimmee/Osceola COC, ORAC Networking
On Dec. 9, McCoy’s Marketing Manager attended a networking event at Melia Orlando Hotel at Celebration. This evening of connecting with tourism industry businesses was presented by the Osceola Resort Area Council. The Council is part of the Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce. It was a wonderful opportunity to share all that McCoy has to offer with business professionals in Osceola County.
Stuff the Sleigh, 27 Community Connection
Through our partnership with 27 Community Connection, the McCoy Marketing team volunteered to help collect toys on Dec. 10 at the WFTV Studios in Downtown Orlando. Viewers were encouraged to drop off Toys for Tots donations of new, unwrapped toys, as well as meet and greet with some U.S. Marines and WFTV personalities.
Greg Warmoth Reindeer Run
On Dec. 11, 18 members of Team McCoy participated in the Greg Warmoth Reindeer Run. This event supports Toys for Tots and AdventHealth for Children’s pediatric cancer and bone marrow transplant programs. Participants were encouraged to dress in their most festive attire and walk or run the festive 3-mile route through SeaWorld. It was a great event that is looked forward to each year.
Horizon High School & Water Spring Middle School, PTSO Meeting
As a PTSO sponsor, McCoy was invited to speak with high school and middle school parents at the December meeting. McCoy’s Marketing Manager attended and introduced parents to the products and services available at the Hamlin branch. Attendees were interested in McCoy’s partnership with the Zogo financial literacy app to help teach students about money management.
Overture Hamlin, Cookie Decorating with McCoy
On Dec. 16, the McCoy Marketing Team and Hamlin’s Branch Manager traveled to Overture Hamlin walk residents through an end-of-year financial check-up. The goal of the presentation was to get them ready for a financially fit 2022. Residents also enjoyed decorating cookies, eating snacks and conversing with the team about the different tools McCoy has to offer.
Community Sponsorships
During the 2021 holiday season, McCoy supported many local nonprofits to help families in need in our community. In December, McCoy made a donation to Matthew’s Hope Ministries to assist in their homeless outreach efforts through the year.
McCoy had the honor of being a title sponsor for the Hoop School of Central Florida Preseason Instructional Basketball Camp. With this sponsorship, McCoy gave 48 children the chance to participate in this weekend camp.
McCoy also sponsored the Chi Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., 60 Years of History Weekend. The sponsorship included a page in the Chi Tau’s 60th Anniversary Celebration Book.
On Dec. 3, McCoy was a title sponsor for the BXI Boule Foundation’s 4th Annual Dr. David Robinson Golf Classic. The proceeds from the event went to support the Sigma Pi Phi, Beta Xi Boule BXI Foundation Inc. and the Young Black Men of Excellence (YBME) Leadership Program.
