We consider Joy an extension of our team. With Joy's assistance, you can get information on our products and services, check your balance and transaction history, transfer funds, update your account information, and more – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  

Joy will ask for the following information to verify your identity for account-related requests:

  • Full Social Security Number
  • Account Number

Certain transactional requests will require further verification using a one-time passcode, which is sent via text message. 

Try asking Joy questions like:

  • How do I register for online banking?
  • How do I apply for a loan?
  • What is McCoy's routing number?
  • What are your rates?
  • And more!

If you have used Toni the Teller before, our virtual assistant can help you with similar tasks related to the management of your account. When you call McCoy, Joy will walk you through your requested transactions, and she will even send you text messages with links and information that you can access later if needed.

Why is McCoy using Joy?

Our goal is always to provide our members with exceptional service. With Joy’s help, we can assist you quickly and efficiently at a time that works best for you. Fun fact: On average, Joy completes member inquiries in less than a minute! 

What languages does Joy respond to?

Joy responds in both English and Spanish. If you would like to speak with Joy in Spanish, you can begin speaking in Spanish at any time or say "Spanish". 

Are my interactions with Joy secure?

Yes! All interactions with Joy utilize the latest encryption technology and your information is never stored. For account-related inquiries, Joy verifies your identity the same way our Call Center team does. 

What information do I need to provide?

Joy will ask you to verify your full SSN and account number for all account-related inquiries. If further authentication is required, Joy will send a text message with a one-time passcode to your mobile phone number. 

Can I still use Toni the Teller? 

With Joy’s improvements, you can review your account details, transfer funds internally, and more – faster and easier – all without having to navigate a menu tree like the one utilized with Toni the Teller. 

Can I still speak with a human?

We’re always here for you if you have a question that Joy is unable to answer. Say “representative” and you will be transferred to a McCoy team member. 


Tips for Talking to Joy

Joy is constantly learning new things. The more you talk to her, the more she learns and grows!

  • Speak directly into the phone instead of using speaker phone or hands-free devices. 
  • Speak in short, clear sentences. For example, say “transfer money” or “check my balance.”  
  • Find a quiet place to call. Background noise and other interruptions make it difficult for Joy to hear you.  
  • Feel free to interrupt. If you know what you need, you can say it to Joy without listening to the full welcome message.
